Nov 8, 2018 · Mark Wentz Taps Himself to Answer the Call to Service

THANK YOU for doing this. This warmed my heart. As a daughter, niece, and cousin of many veterans, I truly appreciate this. I know it meant the world to our family when my father passed away.

May 2, 2018 · Nurses Rally Around Colleague Diagnosed With Cancer

This is a wonderful story. Thank you for sharing. It's exactly what should happen for Mayo employees facing such serious illnesses. The support shown to Greg, Michelle, and their children brought me to tears. Support/needs of the patient should apply to employees who are patients also–I hope all supervisors will realize this wonderful "Mayo" trait. What a great team of people.

Jan 9, 2018 · Going to Great Lengths (and Miles) to Find New Home for Unused Medicine

I applaud Terry’s determination. If Mayo pharmacies and Mayo have a method of getting rid of medical supplies/equipment or medication that’s no longer going to be used that they would send it to medical missionaries. I know of one in Tanzania. They can’t accept anything that will expire w/in 6 months; however, I was recently told that the hospital in a large city near Zinga doesn’t even have sutures and sheets for the beds.

Every time I see our nurses whip off and toss gloves (thank you for the safety precautions), I am reminded that they have few supplies like that.

Jan 10, 2017 · Nurse Practitioner's Gift to Family of Dying Patient: Songs That Comfort and Heal

Amazing story. THANK you for sharing! LaSonya, thank YOU for being a true caregiver and for showing love and faith to a family in need. Kudos to you for your willingness and openness to share.

Jul 28, 2016 · A Gift of Life from Across the Pond – Mayo Transplant Patient Meets Donor for First Time

This story just brought me to tears. Thank you for sharing the uplifting stories. Congratulations Bill and family, and to Anna–what a wonderful gift to give someone!

If I understand correctly her own father has been on the registry for years, so I hope that he too gets a match.
Thank you to the awesome doctors and transplant team members who make this life-saving stories even possible!

Info and advertisements on donating blood are common here, but I am curious about what the process is to donate stem cells? It would be a great things to advertise w/employees as well as our community as well. Thanks.

Dec 11, 2013 · Blessed with holiday traditions

I agree w/Marilyn. I’m thankful for Mayo standing by our “roots” an an institution, built on solid ground not only medical knowledge, but with Christian values of sharing and caring for the patients. We should never forget those roots.
