Some Holiday Wishes and Perhaps a Song

What with it being a holiday week and all, we wanted share a holiday message from a couple of our favorite Mayo musicians, Drs. Elvis Francois and William Robinson, who recently posted a rendition of “Oh Holy Night” along with this:
To the patients who will be in and out of hospital for the holidays … we wish you a Merry Christmas.
To the sick 5-year-old who will not be at home opening presents … but instead in a hospital bed for the holidays ... we wish you a Merry Christmas.
To the health care providers who aren't home with their families but instead spend Christmas day giving the gift of care and sharing the gift of life … we wish you a Merry Christmas.
Because the spirit of Christmas is no better exemplified than inside the doors of a hospital. It is inside these walls that we exemplify the gift of giving. The appreciation for life. But more importantly, what it truly means to share the true spirit of Christmas …
